Your itinerary should include a visit to the USS Missouri and USS Arizona Memorials in Oahu's Pearl Harbour. Some of the National Parks you should see are the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park on Big Island, the Kahakai National Historic Trail also on Big Island, and the Haleakala National Park on Maui, noted as the best place to observe a spectacular sunrise. Off the beaten track, you will be delighted to take a swim in the peaceful waters of Kaupoa beach on Molokai, or sunbathe on the golden sands of Polihua beach on Lanai. Hawaii has miles of beach perfect for building sandcastles, collecting sea shells or chasing hermit crabs. The wonder of the place is enough to spark the imagination of any child. Take the kids to the Kauai Children's Discovery Museum, to the 'Ohana Adventure' at the Polynesian Cultural Center on Oahu, or to visit the nations largest tropical reef aquarium at the Maui Ocean Center.
